Sunday, February 6th, 2011ETS is offering special savings of 50% off the normal registration fee for the Graduate Record Exam if you decide to sit for their revised General Test between August 1 and September 30, 2011. This 50% discount is offered to encourage students to sit for the revised GRE during a window when scores will be delayed for up to several months – so plan your registration dates accordingly if you intend to take advantage of the offer!
Resolving Error #1010
Saturday, February 5th, 2011If you receive a message indicating an error #1010 while our software is running, then it is very likely that our software is unable to save your progress to your local hard drive. This will prevent you from restarting if you quit before completing your test for any reason.
Hundreds of students use our software daily and it works flawlessly for the vast majority of them – of course every setup is potentially different and some errors are unavoidable. But have no fear, our support team is here to help.
To fix this error, first close all other applications and insure that your web browser is the only application running. This reduces the chance that another application could interfere with the Adobe Flash Player plugin that our tests rely upon.
In addition to insuring we are the only software running when you launch a simulated test – you should insure you are running the latest version of Adobe’s Flash Player by visiting their website here.
When you follow that link, you’ll be offered a free upgrade to the latest flash player available. Please install it and then restart as applicable. If you continue to encounter the error #1010, please contact our support team directly by opening a support ticket or through email.
Important notice for 2011 graduate school applicants
Friday, December 24th, 2010Starting August 1, 2011, the #GRE revised General Test will replace the current GRE General Test. Perspective graduate school students planning to sit for the GRE in 2011 need to be aware that if you take the GRE revised General Test during between August and September 2011, your scores will be delivered by mid-November. If you need your scores before November 2011, you must take the current test before August 2011.
Multiple orders of our GRE practice tests
Monday, November 15th, 2010Our #GRE practice tests are sold in packs that offer a discount over buying them individually. If you decide to purchase a pack for less than the full number of unique practice tests we offer but later decide you would like more practice, don’t worry – you can still sit for all of our GRE practice tests. Each time you launch one of our GRE practice tests, you can choose which exam and question pool you’d like to access. For example, if you already sat for GRE exams #1 and #2 using a double pack – you can purchase another double pack and use that pack to sit for GRE exams #3 and #4.
